CH Candyland's Butter Cream (CH Candyland's Clark Bar X CH Candyland's Jelly Belly ROM) We are very happy with how our boy Buddy has developed. Earlier this year Buddy took Best of Breed in one show in Lynden with some stiff professional competition. He is available to approved bitches for stud service.
In May 2005 we just added our second Candyland Pug to our home. Introducing Candyland's Butter Cream. We thought about a name other than how we got him, but "Buddy" suits him and Buddy it has stayed. We are excited to have this gorgeous boy................a big thank you to Candy Schlieper at Candyland Pugs for this acquisition. Buddy has stood out as a very typy pug since the day we put him in the show ring. We look forward to finishing him and using him in our breeding program.
7/30/05 In Buddy's show debut in Sequim WA, Buddy took Winner's dog, then Best of Winners! A huge thank you to judge Anne Katona for getting our boy off to a nice start!
8/19/05 Buddy rolls at the Puget Sound Pug Dog Club Specialty Show. He wins Best puppy in Sweepstakes, then wins Winners Dog and Best of Winners for a 5 point major! Thanks to Janet Jacobsen for recognizing Buddy, and thanks to Gary Stiles for handling Buddy.
8/28/05 Buddy takes Winners Dog and Best of Winners at Redmond, WA. This was a small show, good for one point. Buddy now has 8 points toward his championship. Sorry, no picture. Thank you to Mr. Raymond Swidersky for a successful weekend.
3/12/06 Buddy takes Winners Dog at the Seattle Kennel Club. This show featured 11 class dogs, and was a 4 point major. Buddy now has 12 points toward his championship. Thanks again to Gary Stiles for handling Buddy so expertly! Click here to watch a video of Buddy's show
July 30, 2006 Buddy finishes in style, taking Best of Breed, placing over two Championed Specials, and 14 class dogs, in Sequim, WA. What an exciting way to get 4 points, just what he needed to finish. Way to go Buddy! And a huge thanks to Gary for doing so well with Buddy, and to judge Elaine Young for getting Buddy over the top.
May 2007 Buddy dips his toe into the ring as a special.......... where all finished champions compete for the Best of Breed competition. On his first day, Buddy "took breed" over many specials, then made the first cut in group. We were as proud as can be......... this is as far as we've ever gone in the ring. Perry was owner-handling, no less!
